Divine Mercy Sunday

April 13-15, 2012

Divine Mercy

In the 1930’s Our Lord Jesus requested through Saint Faustina that a very special Feast of Divine Mercy be established and then solemnly celebrated in His Church on the First Sunday after Easter every year. In the year 2000 after many years of study by the Catholic Church, The now Blessed Pope John Paul II fulfilled the will of Christ and officially established this special Feast of Divine Mercy and named it Divine Mercy Sunday.

Come spend this Feast of Divine Mercy at OSMM! OSMM Servants, Randy and Ted, welcome the priest from their parish in Flora, IL, Fr. Martin.

Matthew Baute is an inspirational singer/songwriter and liturgical musician with a gentle spirit that is reflected in the style of music he plays, helping to shine a light of hope into wounded hearts.

Matthew serves as music director at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Saint Ann, Missouri. He is frequently called upon to provide music for liturgies, retreats, and conferences throughout the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Over the past few years Matthew has come to greatly admire the prayerfulness of Gregorian chant, and he is currently focused on composing sacred music for the liturgy. With his wife Leah and new son Gregory, he strives to lead a simple, prayerful life in the midst of the busyness of the world, giving witness that God is still whispering an invitation of love to every heart.
